The Yealink T42S is a basic VoIP phone that allows the person to make and receive calls contains five soft keys (not including the one used for your own extension number)

There are multiple ways to transfer a call on the Yealink phones.

Method 1: Call Park Transfer

  1. While on a call, press the Call Park button, located below the line the call is currently on, and the call is transferred to that line;
  2. Inform the person that the call is for by either calling the person on their phone or to physically tell them;
  3. The other person then presses the Call Park button that is blinking on their phone to pick up the call.

Method 2: Soft Key Button Transfer

  1. While on a call, press the Hold button and confirm with the person that the caller wants to speak too that they will take the call;
  2. Take the caller off hold by pressing the Hold button;
  3. Press the person’s extension number soft key button on your phone to transfer the call.

Method 3: Blind Transfer

  1. Press the Transfer soft key during an active call. The call is placed on hold;
  2. Enter the extension number you want to transfer too;
  3. Press the B Trans soft key to complete the transfer.

Method 4: Semi-Attended Transfer

  1. Press the Transfer soft key during an active call. The call is placed on hold;
  2. Enter the extension number you want to transfer too, and then press the Send soft key;
  3. Press the Transfer soft key when you the ring-back tone.

Method 5: Attended Transfer

  1. Press the Transfer soft key during an active call. The call is placed on hold;
  2. Enter the extension number you want to transfer too, and then press the Send soft key;
  3. Press the Transfer soft key when the second party answers.
